And last but not least : the players !

To list all the trombonists using our valve would be fastidious and of limited interest. To keep such a list updated would be quite impossible: our clients sell their products worldwide to a growing number of enthusiasts, all talented !

Nevertheless, we would like to express our gratitude to Mr. Roland Schnorhk (ex solo player at the“Orchestre de la Suisse Romande”), who was our initial supporter and took a big risk when he decided to customize his best 42B with our valve (seldom seen and quite unknown in those days). The photograph below show the faces of our local endorsers, from the “QUATUOR DE TROMBONE DE GENEVE”, featuring Andrea Bandini, Jean-Marc Daviet, Frédéric Théodoloz on tenor trombones, and Laurent Demarchi on bass trombone. They all play Bach instruments customized by our shop.

The four musicians have met in 1990, while studying at the Geneva Conservatory. They soon decided to play together. Their fame increased rapidly from touring in France and Italy, and also in Switzerland backing up the “Ensemble vocal de Lausanne”, conducted by Michel Corboz. From Sienna, Andrea Bandini is the actual solo trombonist at the “Orchestre de la Suisse Romande”. Jean-Marc Daviet is from Annecy (France),while Frédéric Théodoloz comes from Wallis. Laurent Demarchi is the only Geneva native. Both Andrea and Jean-Marc graduated from The Geneva Conservatory, at which Frédéric is still working. Laurent won his prize in Paris. Their repertoire spreads from Renaissance to twenttieth century music, including classical and jazz transcriptions. Their first CD will soon be released.

Andrea Bandini (on the right), solo trombone at the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, professor at the Geneva Academy of Music, concert master and leader of the Quatuor de Trombones de Genève, is pictiured here with René Hagmann. In charge of the R&D department at Servette-Music, René has been an instrument maker and conceptor since 1970
